About Me

Welcome to The Therapeutic Foodie , a San Francisco Bay Area based nutrition and therapy practice! My name is Christina Pandolfo, and I am an Occupational Therapist, Holistic Nutritionist, and Wellness Practitioner with over a decade’s worth of healthcare experience helping others on their healing journey towards optimal wellness and best version of themselves.

At the core of my work as a therapist and nutritionist, I offer a compassionate client-centered and therapeutic approach with my programs. Programs focus on lifestyle transitions, special diets and dietary needs, and stress management for the whole family. With my clients I am known for making my programs and meal plans easy, fun, realistic, and delicious too!

My specialties include the following:

  • Lifestyle transitions from SAD (Standard American Diet) to a Nutrient-Dense Whole Foods approach for the whole family
  • Special diets and dietary needs
  • Food allergies and food sensitivities, including recipe adaptation and support
  • Therapeutic lifestyle programs for stress management
  • Eating for blood sugar stabilization
  • Easy, quick and delicious whole-food cooking and recipes to support a therapeutic lifestyle

Healthy foodMy love affair with food and cooking started when I was a young girl. I was always a curious observer in the kitchen, which prompted my grandma to make my very first apron, fashioned from Holly Hobby material! My favorite cooking show back then was Yan Can Cook, and every time I watched his show, I faithfully wore my Holly Hobby apron. I was a foodie in training, even if I didn’t know it at the time! Fast forward several decades later and I’m still curious in the kitchen, loving to experiment with new and healthy ingredients and learn new recipes.

After learning that stress, diet, stress-related digestive issues, and related food sensitivities were the root cause of my poor health state, I became passionate about the therapeutic and health benefits of real food. I am now a real food advocate with a deep passion for simple and delicious nutrient-dense recipes.

I believe just because a diet may be therapeutic, it doesn’t mean that it has to be bland or boring! Since I began my real food journey, I have re-connected with my body and health, and that has inspired me to help others who may be going through similar issues.

I have always believed that our bodies were built with an innate capacity to heal. I, and many others are living proof of that. When our bodies are constantly in a stressed-out state, it is very difficult to regain our health and balance in life. When we learn how to turn off the stress response and work with it, our bodies regain its sense of balance, and helps to make healing possible!

At the core of my practice, I want to empower people who are not feeling well to get to the root cause of their stress, and also to deeply love and nourish their bodies in order to support their health. As a healthcare professional and as someone who has navigated health struggles myself, I have a deep passion for this work!

I am so excited to begin this new journey with you as The Therapeutic Foodie! Feel free to take a look around my site, and contact me with any questions you may have!
