My New Favorite Warm Winter Green Juice

This warm winter green juice recipe is inspired by a recent trip to my Ayurveda Practitioner – who told me (based on my constitution and recent cold) ‘No cold drinks or food for the rest of winter’. We talked about some alternative ways to still drink my greens, and the result is this delicious juice/soup fusion that gets my morning off to a nourishing start!

Warm Winter Green Juice

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp of ghee
  • 1 1/2 greens of your choice (Swiss chard, kale, collard greens, spinach)
  • 1 cup of water or broth (vegetable broth, or bone broth)
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Over low-medium heat, melt the ghee and sautee the greens for about a minute.
  • Add the water or broth and cover for a couple of minutes until warm, but not hot.
  • Transfer to blender and blend to juice consistency (or use an immersion blender).
  • Add sea salt and pepper to taste, and transfer to your favorite mug.

Keep warm and enjoy!
